Climate Spring Oberland 2026:
Diversity, commitment and strong regional cooperation
District of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. The Oberland 2026 Climate Spring has come to a successful end. From April 17 to May 10, the Oberland once again became a stage for climate protection, sustainability and community involvement. Numerous associations, initiatives, municipalities, educational institutions and committed citizens showed with their events how diverse climate protection can be lived locally.
The program ranged from excursions, lectures and workshops to clothes swap markets and action days to nature tours, hands-on activities and events for families and children. Practical and interactive formats that brought people together and conveyed concrete ideas for sustainable action were particularly popular.
Particular highlights included the district:
- The Climate Spring Action Day in Münsing with 13 different stations - from the "Wild Corner" to the PV system and Isartal solidarity farming, there was something for everyone
- The Sattelfest in Wolfratshausen offered a variety of stations on the topic of sustainable mobility - from a bike course for young and old to a bike swap market.
- The visit to the Walchensee power plant, including the moated castle, also showed impressively how many decades electricity has been generated from renewable energies here in the district.
"We are impressed by the creativity and commitment shown in organizing the events! Many thanks above all to the many volunteers involved!" summarizes Susanne Seeling from the Bürgerstiftung Energiewende Oberland.
The organizers also drew a positive overall conclusion. In particular, they praised the wide variety of topics, the good cooperation within the network and the opportunity to establish new collaborations and bring people from the region together.
The series of events was once again jointly organized by the districts of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Miesbach and Weilheim-Schongau together with the Bürgerstiftung Energiewende Oberland. The Climate Spring was made possible above all by the great voluntary and professional commitment of numerous local participants.
The organization team would like to thank all organizers and visitors for their commitment and enthusiasm. The Oberland Climate Spring has once again shown that climate protection thrives on participation - regionally, collectively and very specifically on site.
