Provision through power of attorney, care and living wills

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District. The District Office’s Guardianship Division cordially invites all interested individuals to a lecture on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The topic of the evening is “Planning for the Future Through Powers of Attorney, Guardianship, and Living Wills.”

The lecture begins at 6:30 p.m. in the conference room of the District Administration Office, Prof.-Max-Lange-Platz 1, 83646 Bad Tölz.

What happens if, as a result of an accident, an illness or a decline in mental capacity in old age, it is temporarily or permanently no longer possible to make decisions and act independently?

Employees from the care office at the district administration office will give a presentation on the possibilities of making provisions for these situations. For example, a so-called health care proxy can avoid the otherwise necessary appointment of a guardian by the courts. In a living will, instructions can be laid down for decisions in the health sector; in particular also for those in the last phase of life, such as life-sustaining measures.
