County Administrator Appoints Director and Specialist Advisor for Psychosocial Emergency Care
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District. Fires, explosions, floods—emergency responses during crises and disasters often push everyone involved, including first responders, far beyond their personal limits. To better cope with extreme psychological situations, psychosocial emergency care (PSNV) is being established throughout Bavaria. District Administrator Ludwig Schmid recently appointed Roland Herzog and Oskar Ehehalt as director and specialist advisor for the PSNV, respectively.
In the event of an emergency, the PSNV Commander assumes command of the PSNV forces in the various operational sectors at the scene. He also advises the medical operations command on matters of crisis intervention. The PSNV technical advisor supports the local incident command and the Civil Protection Command Group (FüGK). He advises decision-makers on the necessary scope and personnel requirements for the PSNV operation.
Roland Herzog and Oskar Ehehalt received specialized training for this role last year at the Geretsried Fire Academy. Both were nominated by the district’s Psychosocial Emergency Care Working Group (ARGE PSNV) and appointed effective August 1, 2026, after successfully completing the required training courses.
The appointment recognizes the qualifications and dedication of both officials and strengthens the leadership and advisory structures for psychosocial emergency care in the district.
