The Senior Citizens and Participation Department is part of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Office. It belongs to Department 5 Social Affairs, Youth and Family and to the Social Services Division.

The Senior Citizens and Participation department is active in the areas of self-help, volunteering, participation for people with disabilities and senior citizens. You can find lots of information on these topics under Health and Social Affairs - Life in the district.
The positions in the department and their various tasks include
- the Senior Citizens Volunteer Office
is the advice center for anyone who is willing to use their free time and take up a meaningful activity in the field of voluntary, civic engagement or who is already active as a volunteer and has questions. Its tasks also include issuing the Bavarian Volunteer Card and providing support in using the FlexHero volunteer platform.
- the Mobile Senior Citizens' Service, the Care Support Center
are the advice and support services offered by the district office for senior citizens, people with care needs, family caregivers and interested parties. Both offices provide advice on care, social and health services as well as on support services in the district by telephone or at home. If necessary, help can be provided in organizing the right support services.
- the self-help contact point is
the advice center for people looking for an experienced self-help group and support for self-help groups in the region. The Oberland Round Table takes care of the processing of funding from the health insurance companies.
- Social planning for senior citizens and inclusion planning and design
are responsible for drawing up the overall senior citizens' policy concept (SPGK) and the district's inclusion strategy. Both documents record the structures and needs for senior citizens and people with disabilities in the district. In addition, project work and investment cost support for outpatient care services provide impetus for improving the support structures for these groups of people and their relatives.
