On June 21, the longest day of the year, traditional solstice bonfires are lit in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. To ensure that the festival is a safe and unforgettable experience for everyone involved, the District Office has compiled key guidelines that must be strictly observed during planning and execution.
The funding for health-related self-help initiatives in the Oberland sends a strong signal about the importance of this work: In the 2026 funding year, self-help groups in the region will receive a total of 124,193.64 euros. The funding was awarded by the “Oberland Round Table” at the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Office.
On Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven special gardens in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district will open their gates to visitors. As part of the 26th Upper Bavarian Open Garden Day, garden and nature lovers can look forward to a varied program featuring glimpses into private garden paradises, expert information, guided tours, and hands-on activities.
Funding for outpatient care services operating in the district—particularly those serving outlying communities—is disbursed directly to the service providers. The number of inhabitants in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen fell slightly in 2025. According to the figures updated on the basis of the 2022 census, a total of 130,081 people lived in the district as at December 31, 2025. This is 167 fewer people than at the end of 2024 (130,248 inhabitants).
