Care support center: branch office in Geretsried Stein in operation

Location rounds off offering - advice there twice a month

District of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen/Geretsried. Geretsried has one more place to go: the branch office of the care support center in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen has been in operation for a few weeks now. On Tuesday, District Administrator Ludwig Schmid and Mayor Patrick Kohlert took a look at the facility. Rudi Mühlhans from the Geretsried Youth and Social Work Association and deputy VDK local chairwoman Jennifer Kübler also visited the premises.

District Administrator Ludwig Schmid emphasized the importance of the service: "I am proud that the care support point in our district is expanding further with the location in Geretsried and that the service is now complete. Care is not an easy topic and it is good that there is now also a contact point in the most populous town in the district that sorts out complex questions on the subject and provides assistance."

Mayor Patrick Kohlert reported on his own experiences with the topic of care: "My family would have been very grateful to have a local contact such as the care support point. Someone who listens, advises and helps you to find your way through the jungle of services, responsibilities and options. The care support point exists precisely for these situations. And now this important service is also available locally - here in Geretsried."

The care support center in the district has now been in existence for a year, with the main location in Bad Tölz and branch offices in Benediktbeuern and Wolfratshausen. In Geretsried, in the Stein district, the last of four care support point locations was put into operation. The central contact point is located on the first floor of the Bad Tölz district administration office, with a total of four employees dealing with concerns here and at the branch offices. The questions are comprehensive and range from financial concerns to questions about the most suitable care model. The care support point provides neutral help with orientation. A look at the statistics after the first year shows the high demand: 800 people were advised by telephone, 150 came to one of the offices in person and the staff visited citizens at home 180 times.

Office hours at the Bad Tölz District Office, first floor:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8 am to 12 pm, also Monday from 3 pm to 6 pm and by appointment (phone 08041 505-123).

Additionally at the branch offices:

1st and 3rd Tuesday morning of the month in Wolfratshausen Town Hall;

2nd and 4th Tuesday morning of the month at the Quartiertreff Stein in Geretsried;

2nd Wednesday morning of the month in the Bonhoeffer House in Benediktbeuern.
