On Monday, September 15, 2025, the rangers invite you on a tour between Lenggries and Bad Tölz. The Isar habitat is a unique wonderland to explore in late summer.

Participants embark on a hike from Obergries along the Isar, past a fascinating home for unique flora and fauna. On winding paths, discover plants that line the way and encounter the wonders of the microcosm.

Why are healthy river dynamics so crucial for the ecosystem of our Isarwinkel lifeline? What makes this sensitive habitat so attractive, especially at this time of year?

Passing the pasture project, the route leads through dry habitats and over gravel areas up to Gaißach. Along paths lined with autumn flowers, the group experiences a contrast to the vegetation along the Isar and encounters the most beautiful wetland habitats. What differences are noticeable and what challenges does nature face here too? The tour ends at the train station in Bad Tölz, from where you take the train back to the starting point in Obergries.
