Test dates for snap traps

Since 1999, snap traps for trap hunting have been tested every 5 years to ensure that they work properly and are given a corresponding number. If the traps comply with the regulations, the owner is issued with an inspection certificate and a confirmation for submission to the lower hunting authority. The traps must also be inspected before they are used for the first time.
The Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Office would like to point out that the central inspection dates will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Eichmühlstraße 28 in Bad Tölz (trap inspector Johann Disl, Tel.: 08041 41589 or 0160 3601177) or in Deining, Alte Tölzer Straße 14 (trap inspector Heinz Repert, Tel.: 08170 1376 or 0171 7786246).
All hunting license holders in the district who wish to use or own snap traps are requested to contact the relevant inspection body. The inspection body is also responsible for those hunting license holders and trap hunters who do not belong to either of the two district groups. Registration forms for reporting the use of snap traps to the Lower Hunting Authority are available from the inspection body.
A fine may be imposed on anyone who uses trapping irons whose operational safety has not been checked or which are not permanently marked or who fails to notify the hunting authority of the use of snap traps.
