Wilderness on your doorstep - nature tour with the rangers along the Isar dam in Geretsried

On Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 10 a.m., the nature conservation rangers invite you on an exciting journey of discovery into a hidden natural paradise right on your doorstep. The meeting point for the guided tour is the Isar dam on the corner of Sperlingstraße, near the small containers. From there, you walk along the Isar into the Isarauen nature reserve.
Thematically, everything revolves around life on the river: The focus is on the beaver, which shapes entire landscapes with its building skills, as well as gravel breeders such as the little ringed plover, which lay their nests on the open gravel areas. Amphibians and their habitats along the Isar are also presented. Our rangers also explain how the natural river dynamics shape the landscape and why they are so important for the flora and fauna.
