The district administrative authorities and the Bavarian Food Safety and Veterinary Control Authority (KBLV) are responsible in Bavaria for monitoring the circulation of veterinary medicinal products, including anaesthetics for animals and their use.Description
The monitoring includes, among other things, checks on veterinary medicine dispensaries and the use of medicinal products by veterinarians and animal owners, in particular with regard to the supply of food-producing animals, as well as the retail sale of over-the-counter veterinary medicinal products, e.g. in agricultural or pet shops.
