Veterinary medicine cabinet; notification of establishment and operation

The address of the business premises must be notified in writing to the competent authority before commencing operations. In Bavaria, the veterinary departments of the district administrative authorities (district administrations, independent cities) are responsible.

Manufacturers and pharmaceutical wholesalers may only supply veterinary medicinal products to veterinarians if they have checked whether their customers are authorized to retail veterinary medicinal products (Art. 101 para. 2 Regulation (EU) 2019/6, Art. 22 para. 1 Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1248).
