Notes

The tasks of the environmental department include monitoring and implementing legal requirements in the state area in waste law, pollution control law, nature conservation law, species protection law and forest law as well as visitor guidance in protected areas and ecologically sensitive areas. The district is responsible for providing specialist advice on horticulture and landscape conservation. The aim is to safeguard the quality of the environment, protect nature and maintain an environment worth living in for all citizens.
