
Rental conditions
In order to borrow media from the media center, rules must be followed.
1. who may use the media center's services?
1.1 Media and equipment from the media center's rental archive are generally available to all interested parties from the Bad Tölz and Wolfratshausen districts.
1.2 Only authorized persons who have official access data for the Media Centre are permitted to borrow or reserve media from the online catalog.
1.3 The access data to the online catalog must be kept secret and may not be passed on to third parties under any circumstances
1.4 The borrowed media and equipment may only be used in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen for non-commercial events and only for scientific, teaching or educational purposes.
2. collection and appliances
2.1 Loaned items can be ordered either in writing, by telephone or via our online catalog (Internet). It can be collected in person or by an authorized courier.
2.2 The standard rental period is one week.
2.3 For all orders and reservations, you must enter the username and password of the school or educational institution.
2.4 The user assures that he/she is familiar with the proper and professional operation of the media and equipment provided and that he/she will handle them with care.
2.5 The borrower assumes full liability for the borrowed media and equipment in the amount of the replacement value, both for damage caused by himself and for damage caused by third parties, including loss of the borrowed items due to theft, fire or other unavoidable events. He undertakes to report any damage or loss immediately.
2.6 The borrower shall be notified of any complaints immediately after the returned item has been inspected.
2.9 Any shipping costs incurred shall be borne by the borrower.
2.10. Loaned items that have been ordered but not collected or available by the deadline must generally be reordered.
2.11. Please note that copying or modifying the media is not permitted under copyright law and may be punishable by imprisonment or a fine.
2.12. For public screenings of media containing music, please note that in some cases fees must be paid to GEMA (Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs- und mechanische Vervielfältigungsrechte).
3. online media
3.1 Downloaded media must be deleted after a period of two weeks. However, they can be downloaded again afterwards. The downloader undertakes to delete the data reliably.
3.2 Downloaded media may not be passed on to third parties.
3.3 All media in the online catalog are subject to copyright and may not be duplicated or modified.
3.4 The integration and mixing of or with other materials for school purposes is permitted. However, any publication (e.g. on the school website) is not permitted.
3.5 There is no entitlement to perpetual availability of the media. After the respective license period has expired, media must be deleted and may no longer be used. This also applies to school television programs (see §47 UrhG). Violations of these terms of use will result in the loss of borrowing authorization and may result in criminal prosecution.
