Are you already a student teacher or have a university degree and are interested in teaching at a primary and secondary school in the current school year?
Then you can be employed as a trainee teacher (student teacher) or substitute teacher (with a university degree) with the desired number of hours at primary and secondary schools. You must enjoy working with primary and secondary school pupils and be willing to cooperate with teachers and educational staff.
As a substitute teacher, you may be assigned to teach German preparatory classes (language support for preschoolers), DeutschPlus, arts and music subjects, and additional remedial and differentiated instruction classes at the elementary school. At the middle school, you may also be assigned to teach elective subjects. Positions are generally available on both a full-time and part-time basis. A full-time position consists of 28 teaching hours (45 minutes each) per week in elementary school and 27 teaching hours (45 minutes each) per week in middle school. The number of hours for part-time positions can be determined on an individual basis. In addition, the role includes lesson planning and follow-up work, staff meetings, and professional development. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us at the school district office.
You are also welcome to contact the head teacher of a primary or secondary school where you would like to teach directly.
