Practice of medicine; notification
Brief description
If you practise a medical profession on a self-employed or freelance basis for which there is no chamber, you are obliged to notify the health authority responsible for the place where you practise the medical profession. This does not have to be the health authority in your place of residence.Description
Members of the following healthcare professions must immediately notify the competent health authority of the start and end of self-employed professional practice:
- Anesthesiology assistant
- Dietician
- Occupational therapist
- Midwife
- Health and pediatric nurse
- Healthcare and nursing assistant
- Alternative practitioner
- Speech therapist
- Masseur and medical bath attendant
- Medical-technical assistant for functional diagnostics
- Medical-technical laboratory assistant
- Medical-technical radiology assistant
- Medical technologists for laboratory analysis
- Medical technologists for radiology
- Medical technologists for functional diagnostics
- Medical technologists for veterinary medicine
- Surgical assistant
- Orthoptist
- Nursing specialist
- Pharmaceutical-technical assistant
- Physiotherapist
- Podiatrist, podiatrist, medical chiropodist
- Veterinary medical-technical assistant
At the beginning of practicing the profession
- indicate the address of the branch and
- provide proof of authorization to exercise the profession or to use the professional title and the existence of appropriate liability insurance.
Any changes to personal data, relocation of the practice, etc., as well as the termination of the activity must also be reported to the public health department immediately

Procedure
The notification and the required documents must be submitted to the local health authority.
The local health authority in whose district the branch is located is responsible.
The authority can issue a confirmation of the notification on request.
