"Champagne reception and after-work beer" - a play about the everyday use of alcohol

The HALT project invites you to a special evening of theater: On Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 8:00 pm, Gabi Gómez will present her play "Sektempfang und Feierabendbier" at the Kulturbühne Hinterhalt, Leitenstr. 40, Geretsried-Gelting. Admission is from 19:00, the entrance fee is 5 €.

In the play, the audience accompanies Lisa, a young woman in her mid-20s who seems to lead a completely normal life: Job, apartment, family and friends. However, it gradually becomes apparent that alcohol is taking up more and more space in her everyday life. Lisa becomes entangled in contradictions and makes things up - until the fragile construct eventually collapses.

"Champagne reception and after-work beer" does not aim to moralize, but to hold up a mirror: How natural has alcohol become in our lives? No birthday, no family celebration, no meeting with friends seems conceivable without it - and this normalization process often leads to addiction.

The theater evening takes place as part of the Alcohol Action Week, which is proclaimed every two years by the German Center for Addiction Issues throughout Germany. The HaLT alcohol prevention project of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen public health department is organizing the event and will also present specialists from addiction prevention and addiction counselling on site.

An evening of reflection, information, questioning and exchange - open to all interested parties of all ages.
