Gardening in Harmony with Nature – “Bayern blüht – Naturgarten” Award

The Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District is seeking additional natural gardens for certification

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District. A natural garden is much more than just a beautiful garden: It provides diverse habitats for animals and plants and makes a valuable contribution to the preservation of biodiversity. Avoiding chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilizers goes without saying. The focus is on gardening in harmony with nature.

For garden owners, a natural garden offers countless opportunities for exciting discoveries—from a profusion of flowers and the diversity of native plant and animal species to a healthy harvest from their own garden.

In the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district, 41 gardens have already been certified with the “Bayern blüht – Naturgarten” award. They serve as a visible symbol of active nature conservation and impressively demonstrate how ecological gardening can be successfully implemented.

Anyone who would also like to have their garden certified still has the opportunity to do so this year. The ten state-certified judges currently have availability and look forward to visiting and certifying more gardens managed in harmony with nature. If successful, the newly certified garden owners will be presented with a certificate and a plaque for their garden fence at an event held at the Bad Tölz District Office.

Those interested can find information on the certification criteria and the registration process on the website of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Association for Horticulture and Landscape Conservation (Kreisverband für Gartenkultur und Landespflege Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen e.V.) at: https://kv-gartenbau-toelz-wor.de/de/zertifizierung or directly from the District Advisory Office for Horticulture and Landscape Conservation at the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Office, Anika Dollinger.
