Funding for home care services

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District. Funding for outpatient care services operating in the district—and particularly those serving outlying communities—is disbursed directly to the service providers. A total of 24 care services will receive a grant for the year 2025. In this way, the district supports comprehensive outpatient nursing care.

District Administrator Ludwig Schmid is pleased with the support: “I am delighted that we are able to make a targeted contribution here to ensure care provision throughout the district. This allows those in need of care to remain in their familiar home environment and receive quality care from home care services and their family members.”

Any home care agency that provides care to people in need of care within the district is eligible for funding in two categories. First, funding is provided to support the hiring of care workers in order to strengthen the outpatient care infrastructure in general. In addition, financial support is available based on distance. In the rural district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, there are locations that require a significant effort for care services to reach, as all care services are more than ten kilometers away. To ensure that people there can still be cared for without jeopardizing the financial viability of the care services, additional financial support has been available for many years to care services that undertake this journey.

The district allocates €170,000 annually for this purpose. Funding is provided for care services rendered in the previous year. A total of 24 home care services, with a combined staff of 214 full-time employees, receive funding. Over the course of the year, this enabled 80 people in need of care in areas with difficult access to receive outpatient care. The caregivers covered approximately half a million kilometers on the road in the process.
