Reformed school entry examination (rSEU)

Before children start school, they undergo an initial school check-up. This is to ensure that the children are optimally prepared for the start of school. In the district, the so-called reformed school entry examination will begin this fall. The aim is to provide early support where necessary in order to promote a successful transition to school. There will be no changes to the school start date and age.

We have summarized the most important points for you:

  1. You will receive an invitation letter with the most important information. In it you will find your PIN and QR codes for our online appointment booking service as well as a link to this page.
  2. Has the U8/U9 (depending on your child's age) already been carried out? If not, make an appointment with your trusted pediatrician.
  3. Book an appointment at the public health department online with the PIN sent to you.
  4. Fill in the medical history form. Alternatively, this can also be completed directly online. If required, further documents can also be attached to the online medical history form!
  5. On the day of the appointment
    Please come to the main entrance of the district administration office.
    Documents to be brought along: Yellow examination booklet, vaccination card and completed medical history form (if not already completed online). For detailed information, see also "Required documents"!


Required documents

  • Yellow booklet (preventive check-ups) with completed U8/ U9 / or participation card from the yellow check-up booklet
  • Vaccination card
  • Completed medical history form on your child's medical history (enclosed with the invitation - can also be completed online)
  • If your child has a severely disabled pass or a health pass (e.g. allergy pass, diabetic pass or similar), please also bring this with you, as well as glasses or a hearing aid if available. If your child has had a hearing or eye test in the last 3 months, you can bring a certificate from the ENT or ophthalmologist.
  • If, for valid reasons, you are unable to present your child in person for the reformed school entry examination, the accompanying person you nominate will need a power of attorney from you.
  • If you and your child live abroad and your child is to go to school there, we need a certificate of a corresponding examination or a school certificate from the school there.
