Notes
The Public Transport, School Transport and Visiting Schools department coordinates and organizes local public transport, school transport and visiting schools in the district.
Local public transport is a voluntary task of the administrative districts and independent municipalities within their own sphere of influence, but at the same time serves to provide services of general interest. In order to secure and improve the existing public transport system, the responsible authority can draw up a local transport plan . Furthermore, the tasks assigned on the basis of membership of Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund GmbH (MVV) are carried out.
In the area of school transportation, the law on free travel to and from school is implemented first and foremost.
The guest school system includes, among other things, the annual determination of guest school fees for the district's own schools and the corresponding settlement with other municipalities.
In the area of special schools, the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Office decides on the approval of guest school relationships.
Vocational schools are divided into specialized districts.
