Vocational school students; application for necessary external accommodation in Bavaria

Municipalities or rural districts can provide accommodation for vocational school students from outside the district during their block school phases at the vocational school.

Accommodation during the vocational school period can only be obtained by

• who attends a training company or a compulsory basic vocational school year in Bavaria,
• who is not a retrainee and
• who has an actual journey to school by public transport of more than 3 hours there and back or who is absent from home for more than 12 hours.

The application must be submitted to the responsible office (e.g. school administration office or vocational school) and signed by the adult vocational student or their legal guardian if they are a minor.
