Vocational participation - training & work

Finding and keeping a regular job is an important part of a self-determined life for many people. However, for people with disabilities, access to the general labor market is often associated with particular challenges. Among other things, existing reservations on the part of employers, a lack of accessibility in the workplace, bureaucratic hurdles and a lack of or unrecognized qualifications all contribute to this. The nature or severity of a disability can also mean that it is not (yet) possible to work in the general labor market.
In the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, there are various facilities and services that support people with disabilities in entering or re-entering working life. These include support centers and supplementary service projects, workshops for people with disabilities (WfbM). They offer training opportunities, employment and individual support with the aim of enabling professional participation.
In addition, there are inclusive companies in which up to 50 percent of employees are people with severe disabilities. With their jobs subject to social insurance contributions, these companies create professional participation for people with disabilities. The "REHADAT addresses" information page provides a Germany-wide overview of inclusive companies.

Health, rehabilitation & care services

A serious accident or illness can suddenly and permanently change your life. How do you find your way back into everyday life and learn to deal with the new challenges? The first step is often medical rehabilitation, which is intended to promote both physical and mental healing. In this context, various outpatient and inpatient facilities such as specialist clinics, health centers and rehabilitation outpatient clinics offer tailor-made programs that are designed to meet people's individual needs.
In addition to medical rehabilitation, there are also numerous services that build on these measures and aim to achieve successful social and professional reintegration. These help to improve quality of life and facilitate integration into everyday life.
You can gain an insight into the variety of services and contact points for people with care needs and their relatives on the pages for senior citizens.
The following is a list of individual providers from our district or providers responsible for our district. This list does not claim to be exhaustive and makes no statement about the quality of the services.
If you have any questions about rehabilitation and its financing, the local advice centers or the relevant funding agencies (e.g. accident, health or pension insurance, ZBFS, Jobcenter) can help you.

Various transport services are available in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. It doesn't matter whether you have a doctor's appointment or are planning a private trip - the transport service will take you to your destination for a fee.

- "Travel costs covered by the health insurance companies"

- Mobility assistance from the district of Upper Bavaria
Mobility assistance is financial support (monthly lump sum) for people with disabilities who cannot use public transportation or can only use it to a limited extent. It is used for social participation and enables trips to leisure, cultural or community activities. Funding is available for trips with cabs, disabled driving services or similar providers - but not for trips to work, doctors, therapies, schools or training centers. Detailed information and all the necessary requirements can be found on the information page of the funding body (District of Upper Bavaria).
- Motor vehicle assistance from the Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales (ZBFS)
The ZBFS Inclusion Office can provide severely disabled people with grants for vehicle procurement, additional equipment for the disabled, driving licenses and, in special cases, for cabs, transport services or vehicle repairs to help them get to their place of work or training. All further information and the relevant application forms can be found here on the ZBFS information page.
In addition to the benefits just described, there are mobility-related disadvantage compensations for people with a (severely) disabled person's pass (e.g. assistance when traveling with Deutsche Bahn, in air travel or central keys for disabled toilets and much more). You can find an overview with further information on the "Mobility and transport" page of the ZBFS. Another important compensation for disadvantages is free travel on public transport with a token. Severely disabled people with a G, aG, H, Bl or Gl disability mark can purchase a token from the ZBFS and thus benefit from free travel on local public transport.
