Mental crises before / after the birth
Around 10-20% of all mothers are affected by peripartum depression. They are unable to build a relationship with their child and the social pressure to be a happy and perfect mother leads to excessive demands.

Mothers are not always overjoyed and beaming with joy after the birth of their child. In addition to the "normal crying days" or "postpartum depression", serious mental illnesses can also develop. Close contact with midwives and doctors is important in order to recognize any depressive symptoms at an early stage and to be able to treat them in a targeted manner.
