Immission control; notification of significant changes to a low-frequency or direct current installation
Brief description
If you wish to make a significant change to a direct current system or a low-frequency system with a rated voltage of 110 kilovolts or more, you must notify the competent authority.
Description
If your installation does not require any other official permits relating to immission control, you must notify the competent authority of any planned significant change. You have at least 2 weeks before the change is implemented to do this.
If you want to make a significant change to a low-frequency system with less than 110 kilovolts, you only have to submit the required documents if the competent authority requests you to do so.
Prerequisites
- Your system crosses or lies
- on a property in the area of a development plan or
- within a built-up district or
- on a plot of land with residential buildings in an outdoor area.

Deadlines
You must have submitted the notification to the competent authority no later than two weeks before the significant change to the system.

Procedure
- You submit the notification with the site plan in writing by post or electronically by e-mail to the competent authority.
- The competent authority will receive and examine your notification.
- If further information is required, the authorities will contact you.
Notes
If you do not submit the notification, or do not submit it correctly, completely or on time, you are committing an administrative offense.
Processing time
There is no statutory processing time.
You must have submitted the notification to the responsible authority at least 2 weeks before the significant changes to your system. Processing will take place promptly after receipt of the notification.
