Youth work; utilization of services

Young people are provided with the necessary youth work opportunities to promote their development. They should be based on the interests of young people and be co-determined and co-designed by them, empower them to self-determination and encourage and guide them towards social responsibility and social commitment.

Youth work is offered by youth associations, groups and initiatives, by other youth work organizations and by public youth welfare organizations. It includes offers intended for members, open youth work and community-oriented offers.

The focal points of youth work include

• extracurricular youth education with general, political, social, health, cultural, natural history and technical education,
• Youth work in sports, games and socializing,
• work-related, school-related and family-related youth work,
• international youth work,
• Children and youth recreation and
• Youth counseling.

The municipal youth work department (Kreisjugendpflege) is responsible for prevention and networking.

In addition, the Kreisjugendring Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen coordinates the entire summer vacation program of the district.

The Kreisjugendring (KJR) is a voluntary association of youth organizations in the district and a public corporation. As a subdivision of the Bavarian Youth Ring (BJR), the KJR is committed to the interests of young people, supports youth associations and clubs, offers political youth education and low-cost equipment hire and organizes the Isar-Loisachtal vacation pass in the district.

The Free State of Bavaria, as the supra-local sponsor of youth work, supports investments in Bavarian school hostels and youth hostels, the Dachau Youth Hostel Foundation, the Prix Jeunesse International children's and youth television festival, the Tandem coordination center for German-Czech youth exchange, the Bavarian Political Youth Ring and soccer fan projects.

The Bavarian Youth Action Plan of the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labor and Social Affairs aims to address the current high level of political interest among young people.

The aim is to promote and value the opinions of young people, to enter into a stronger dialog with young people and to take their demands even more seriously.

Under the motto "Join in - for your democracy", measures from the five fields of action have been developed and implemented since 2019:
