Mothers' and fathers' centers; application for funding
Brief description
The Free State of Bavaria supports the operation of a mothers' and fathers' center.
Description
Purpose
Mothers' and fathers' centers want to offer a framework to relieve the burden of everyday family life and to organize it creatively. This includes open meetings, open cafés for mothers and fathers with their children as well as play and toddler groups or courses for children and parents. They are a good opportunity for families, mothers and fathers to get to know other parents and children and to make contact.
This can create neighborhood networks that offer support and security.
The centers are managed and organized by mothers and fathers themselves. The work is mostly done on a voluntary basis and everyone can contribute their skills.
The promotion of mothers' and fathers' centers is intended to promote volunteering as such on site and contribute to the preservation and creation of positive living conditions for families and a child- and family-friendly environment. It is also intended to encourage the development of neighborhood and self-help.
