Explosives clearance certificate; application

One of the prerequisites for the issue of a permit or a certificate of competence in accordance with the Explosives Act is successful participation in a specialist training course. In order to take part in this specialist course, the course provider requires you to provide a clearance certificate as proof of reliability and personal suitability. This will be issued to you by the authority responsible for issuing the permit or certificate of competence.

Responsible authorities:

• The district administrative authorities:
  In the private sector for the purchase and handling of propellant powder for firing firecrackers, muzzle loading and loading and reloading cartridge cases.
• The trade supervisory offices at the governments:
  In the commercial sector, e.g. for carrying out blasting work or setting off fireworks.
• The mining authorities:
  In the case of companies that carry out relevant activities that are subject to mining supervision.
