Fishing; application for authorization to issue permits

Fishing may not be permitted without the issue of a permit. Exceptions apply to helpers who fish without a handline accompanied by an authorized person. In addition, a maximum of three persons may fish without a permit when accompanied by the authorized person. The controlled issue of permits is intended to prevent excessive use of the water. The number of people fishing is adapted to the yield capacity of the water and the statutory conservation objective.

The permit is only valid for the holder named on it.

Permits may be issued for a maximum of three years. Daily, monthly and annual permits are commonly used. The district administrative authority also issues permits for a limited period of time.

A permit can only be issued if the person entitled to fish or the leaseholder has the comprehensive right to fish. The leaseholder also requires the express consent of the lessor.

The price of the permit is set by the issuing fishing licensee.

The issue of permits must be approved by the competent district administrative authority. In particular, the application must state the location and type of fishing water, the type and scope of the fishing right and the type and period of validity of the permits applied for. The district administrative authority in whose district the fishing water in question is located has local jurisdiction.
