Hunting cooperative; information on legal supervision
Brief description
Owners of land belonging to a common hunting district form a hunting cooperative.
Description
The hunting cooperative decides, among other things, on the type of hunting use, on the type of lease (e.g. public tender, direct award), on the award of the lease and on the use of the net proceeds from hunting use.
The hunting cooperative is a corporation under public law. It is subject to state supervision by the hunting authorities. This supervision is a legal supervision and is limited to ensuring that the hunting cooperative properly fulfills its normative tasks and obligations.
The hunting cooperative elects a hunting board, which represents the hunting cooperative in and out of court. Resolutions of the hunting cooperative assembly require both a majority of the hunting members present and represented as well as a majority of the land area represented when the resolution is passed.
