Fish stocking; order and prohibition or application for authorization
Brief description
Fish may only be released if this does not impair the conservation objective, in particular the abundance of species and the health of the fish stock.Description
Stocking measures must primarily be intended and suitable for compensating for the lack of or impaired reproduction or a disturbance of the biological balance. The aim of every stocking measure is to maintain and promote a species-rich, healthy fish population that is adapted to the size, nature and productivity of the water body and is as natural as possible.
The district administrative authority can order or prohibit stocking measures if this is necessary for reasons of conservation objectives. The basis for such an order is usually the expert opinion of the district fisheries advisory service.
Prerequisites
Which fish may be released without a permit or only with the prior permission of the district administrative authority is determined by § 22 AVBayFiG and, if applicable, the district fishing regulations in the currently valid version.
