Reading and panel discussion "Mothers in politics!"

Geretsried. The Equal Opportunities Office of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Office, together with other partners, invites you to a reading and subsequent panel discussion on the topic "Mothers in Politics!" on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the Geretsried City Gallery, Elbestraße 27a.

Journalist and author Sarah Zöllner will read from her book "Mütter in die Politik!", published by Helmer-Verlag in 2025. In it, she sheds light on why people with care responsibilities should be on political committees and what obstacles have so far prevented them from doing so. Following the reading, local female local politicians will discuss political participation, structural hurdles and concrete ways to improve the compatibility of family, commitment and mandate. The event is supported by Club Soroptimist Isartal/Bad Tölz, sofia frauen bilden e.V. (Kochel am See) and Kulturverein Isar-Loisach e.V.
