Call for entries for the Isar-Loisach Medal is open
Proposals can be submitted by July 31 at the latest
The Isar-Loisach Medal will be awarded for the 26th time this year. Nominations can be submitted to the district administrator's office until July 31, 2026. The Isar-Loisach Medal is awarded for special voluntary work as a visible outward sign of thanks and recognition. The award winners are chosen in the second half of the year.
The guidelines according to which the award winners are determined were laid down in a resolution passed by the district council. The medal is awarded for "outstanding voluntary work in associations, organizations or other communities with cultural, sporting, social, Christian or other charitable aims." Volunteering in this sense is service for others that goes far beyond the usual level for a long period of time and is characterized by altruism. It is very important that the services were primarily rendered in the local area or at district level.
The mayors, the members of the district council and the association and district chairmen of the clubs and organizations are entitled to nominate candidates. Anyone has the right to make suggestions to these nominators. The suggestions must include First name and surname, date and place of birth, nationality, profession and address. In addition, information on previous awards, titles and positions of honor as well as a detailed justification of the proposal. In order to increase the proportion of women in the award, a balanced gender ratio must be ensured in the nominations.
Proposals must be submitted to the District Office, Office of the District Administrator, Prof.-Max-Lange-Platz 1, 83646 Bad Tölz by July 31, 2026 at the latest.
