District announces 2026 environmental prize

Closing date for entries on May 31, 2026

District of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. The district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen has been promoting exemplary commitment in the field of "environmental protection" since 1993 by awarding the "Environmental Prize". The prize recognizes special achievements in all conceivable areas of environmental and nature conservation and the preservation of our living space. At the same time, the competition is intended to increase awareness and understanding of the district's citizens for the many daily environmental problems.

Applications can be submitted by individuals or groups of individuals who pursue non-profit objectives of environmental and nature conservation and habitat preservation within the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, either locally or district-wide, in addition to or instead of public services in a legally permissible manner. The proposed measures and initiatives must not date back more than two years (deadline: March 1, 2024).

Participation can be based on the applicant's own application or on the suggestion of third parties, in particular municipalities in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. The measures proposed for the award should be commented on briefly but clearly, if possible supplemented by photos, sketches and the like.

Applications can be submitted until May 31, 2026. The winners and the date of the award ceremony will be announced publicly in good time. The proposals must be submitted to the Bad Tölz District Office, Department 35 Environment, Prof.-Max-Lange-Platz 1, 83646 Bad Tölz, under the keyword "Environmental Award 2026".
