5th Climate Spring Oberland: Just do it - at over 170 events!

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen/Oberland district - The 5th Oberland Climate Spring is taking place from April 17 to May 10. In the four Oberland districts of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Miesbach and Weilheim-Schongau, a varied program with more than 170 events on climate protection, sustainability and the energy transition awaits interested parties.

The kick-off event will take place on Thursday, April 16 at 6 p.m. in the Stadthalle Penzberg and marks the official start of the event series.

Stefan Drexlmeier from the Bürgerstiftung Energiewende Oberland says: "Every year, the Climate Spring shows anew how much commitment and knowledge there is in the Oberland when it comes to climate protection and sustainability. We invite people to get to know new ideas, exchange ideas - and perhaps take the next step themselves."

With this year's motto "... just do it!", the Climate Spring is sending out a deliberately ambiguous signal: On the one hand, the aim is to show how simple sustainable action can be in everyday life - on the other hand, the motto encourages people to become active themselves and take action.

The program is as diverse as the commitment in the region. Excursions, specialist lectures, workshops, repair cafés, clothes swaps and many other formats invite you to get to know new perspectives, deepen your knowledge and try out practical solutions.

The Climate Spring is organized by the Bürgerstiftung Energiewende Oberland and the climate protection management of the districts and municipalities. The organizers include numerous partners from local authorities, associations, educational institutions, companies and initiatives. The strong cooperation is also reflected in the program: more than half of the events this year are in cooperation with two or more organizers.

Particularly noteworthy this year are nine action days, each of which takes place under municipal leadership. On these days, cities or municipalities work together with many local partners to create a varied program and bring climate protection to life locally. From the "Mobility Day" in Miesbach to a nature conservation action day in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Münsingen Action Day with an energy rally and the Future Festival in Weilheim, there is also a colorful bouquet of possibilities here.

The Oberland Climate Spring thus impressively demonstrates how broadly the commitment to climate protection is supported in the region - and invites all citizens to inform themselves, exchange ideas and become active themselves.
