Awards for three district citizens

District Administrator presents Bavarian Prime Minister's Decoration of Honor for Services in Honorary Office and Medal of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany

District of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. District Administrator Josef Niedermaier recently presented the Medal of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany to Marlene Fleischmann from Egling and the Bavarian Prime Minister's Decoration of Honor for Services in Honorary Office to Sybille Schultz from Bad Tölz and Peter März from Egling. All three are distinguished by their outstanding voluntary commitment, which was recognized by the District Administrator, Josef Hauser, Mayor of Dietramszell, and Michael Lindmair, 2nd Mayor of Bad Tölz, during the ceremony.

Marlene Fleischmann from Egling has been involved in the Egling parish council since 2014 and has been deputy chairwoman since 2018. She has also been a member of the advisory board of the VdK local association in Egling since 2019 and has been active in refugee aid and the SenTa day care center for senior citizens since 2022. In addition to all her activities on the management committees, she is also actively involved in implementation. For example, in the Egling neighborhood support group. Together with the local VdK association, she organized an appeal for donations when the war in Ukraine broke out. To this day, she is the contact person for many people living in Engling. For her many years of voluntary work, she received the Egling Municipality Medal of Honor in 2022.

Sybille Schultz from Bad Tölz has been active in the Bad Tölz e.V. water sports club as a coach since 2004 and as a board member since 2018. She coaches competitive and junior swimmers, organizes swimming and triathlon competitions and has trained numerous young people. She is also active on the board, initially as Head of Swimming, and has held the position of 2nd Board Member for Swimming since 2023.

Peter März is a veteran of St. Georg Schützen Ascholding. He has been involved in the club since 1978, as a member of the board since 1980 and as youth leader since 1983. In 45 years, he has trained 130 young people and also accompanies the youth to competitions. Among other things, he helped build the shooting clubhouse (1982-84), organized dance courses, supported the modernization of the shooting range in 2021 and leads youth training.
