U18 results in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district
Pupils cast their votes at 23 schools
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. Shortly before the end of the election campaign, the U18 local election in the district was successfully held and the results are in. In the period between February 16 and 27, almost 2,800 young people voted at secondary schools and youth centers in the district. Throughout Bavaria, a total of 30,000 young people cast their votes in the U18 local elections. The results of all constituencies can be viewedunder U18 election results.
In total, around 9,000 young people in the district's 27 secondary schools from year 5 onwards were eligible to vote. At 23 schools and in the youth centers, 2,779 pupils cast their votes, which corresponds to around 30 percent. In some schools, participation was not possible due to a lack of resources.
In our district, the ballot papers for the mayoral candidates could be filled in as well as those for the district administrator candidates - all results can be found in detail on the homepage of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Youth Council at: https://www.kjr-toel.de/ergebnis-u18-kommunalwahl-2026/
The U18 elections strengthen a sense of responsibility and promote political education. They show young people that their vote counts - even if they are not yet eligible to vote. In a vibrant democracy like ours, the U18 elections help to anchor democratic values such as participation, diversity of opinion and respect.
