How communication can succeed with hearing loss
Lecture on March 11 at the district administration office
District of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. How communication can succeed with hearing loss is the focus of a lecture on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Christina Prahl, advisor at the BLWG - Information and Service Center for People with Hearing Impairments in Weilheim, which is also responsible for the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, will be giving a talk entitled "Hörbar miteinander - gelingende Kommunikation bei Schwerhörigkeit" (Hearing together - successful communication with hearing loss) from 5 to 6 p.m. in the large conference room of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district office.
The "Seniors & Participation" department at the district administration office invites all interested citizens to the one-hour presentation by the BLWG - Information and Service Center for People with Hearing Impairments. BLWG stands for the terms education, life, values, community and is the professional association for people with hearing and speech disabilities.
In the lecture, the speaker not only presents the different degrees and effects of hearing loss, but also gives valuable tips for successful communication in everyday life. In addition, a brief overview of other aids beyond hearing aids and support services will be presented.
An FM system with a limited number of receivers is available. An FM system is a (mobile) sound transmission system for people who are hard of hearing. All participants who would like to use the FM system are requested to arrive approx. 15 minutes before the start of the lecture to make the necessary technical settings.
