Expert Team for the Protection of Children and Adolescents from Sexual Violence
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District. The Office for Youth and Family Affairs is now relying on a specialized team to protect children and adolescents from sexual violence and abuse. Given that sexual violence is widespread and cases are steadily increasing—primarily due to new media and digitalization—the Office for Youth and Family Affairs has restructured its operations in this area.
To ensure that the district can fulfill its responsibilities in providing information, counseling, and protection, the Sexual Violence Response Team was established within the existing structure. The team consists of educational professionals with many years of in-depth experience in counseling families, relatives, and other professionals. In addition, the team has received specialized training on the topic of sexual violence and undergoes ongoing professional development.
The team’s primary mission is to provide low-threshold counseling to citizens who are concerned about a child in relation to the issue of “sexual violence.” This may include family members, friends, and neighbors, as well as professionals, such as those working in daycare centers and schools. Counseling can be provided anonymously. In addition, professionals and institutions have the opportunity to receive information and education on the topic.
We are available by phone Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 0153 886 8220. In urgent cases outside of office hours, please contact the police.
In addition, inquiries regarding consulting services can be sent by email to kompetenzteam@lra-toelz.de.
