Hikes with the nature conservation rangers on February 6 and 7, 2026

Winter magic on the upper Isar - on the trail of glaciers, wild rivers and red deer or "Kochel - moor and mountains - a journey through time"

District of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. As part of the #NaturschutzBeginntMitDir campaign, the nature conservation rangers and area managers invite you to join them on guided winter hikes along the upper Isar through the impressive Rißbachtal valley or from Kochel am See along the Loisach to Benediktbeuern.

Tour dates Hike on Friday, February 6, 2026:

• Meeting point: 14:00, parking lot in front of the Gasthaus Post, Vorderriß
• End: approx. 17:30, followed by a refreshment stop
• Number of participants: min. 6, max. 20 people
• Route: approx. 3 km, 100 vertical meters, partly narrow hiking trail and gravel bed
• Requirements: sturdy, ankle-high hiking boots, winter clothing suitable for the weather, hiking poles (recommended in icy conditions), warm drink and small snack, grödel/spikes if necessary
• Note: Dogs are not allowed on this tour

• Meeting point: 10:15 am, Kochel station forecourt
• End: around 15:00, at Benediktbeuern Monastery with the opportunity to stop for refreshments together
• Number of participants: min. 6, max. 20 people
• Route: 8 km on good hiking trails
• Requirements: sturdy, ankle-high shoes or rubber boots, winter clothing suitable for the weather, hiking poles (recommended for ice), warm drink and small snack, grödel/spikes if necessary
