Eating Disorders in Young People: Lecture and In-Depth Workshop at the County Administrative Office
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District. Eating disorders are serious mental health conditions that can particularly affect young people. To raise awareness of this issue and provide guidance on how to support those affected and their families, the Office for Youth and Family Affairs is hosting a lecture followed by an in-depth workshop on Monday, October 12, 2026.
The afternoon session will focus on the basics of eating disorders, potential contributing factors, and how to appropriately support those affected.
From 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., a concise presentation will cover the most important basics regarding eating disorders in young people. The presentation will highlight key aspects of the condition and provide fundamental information on the topic.
This will be followed by an interactive in-depth workshop from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Among other topics, the group will discuss the role of societal beauty ideals, how to interact and communicate with those affected and their families, and anonymous real-life case studies.
The lecture and workshop will take place in the small conference room at the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Office, located at Prof.-Max-Lange-Platz 1 in Bad Tölz. Registration is required by email at aif@lra-toelz.de.
