Individual appointments can be rescheduled if necessary.

Anyone interested can register for this or the next training course by e-mailing familienfoerderung@lra-toelz.de or calling 08041 505-423.

More information about family sponsors can be found on the district's homepage at www.lra-toelz.de/de/buergerservice/themen-a-z/familienpaten.

Contents of the training:

The course teaches basic topics such as communication, family dynamics and intercultural sensitivity and helps participants to expand their personal skills.

During their family sponsorship, the volunteers become part of a regional group that is supported by a specialist. Regular, optional meetings offer space for exchange, reflection and mutual support.

  • Role and attitude: What does it mean to support families - and what do I take away from it myself?
  • Communication and empathy: active listening, appreciative conversations and the "four-ears model".
  • Closeness and distance: How can a trusting but professional relationship succeed?
  • Mastering challenges: recognizing boundaries, understanding conflicts, acting with confidence.
  • Cultural openness: Intercultural sensitivity in everyday family life.
  • Use your own resources: Recognizing and consciously using strengths.

Three modules full of practice, exchange and insights

In three practical modules, participants learn how to support families in an appreciative way. The focus is on communication, empathy and dealing with challenges. Role plays, reflection and practical exercises ensure that everyone feels well prepared and empowered.
