Funding for MuT training courses can be applied for
Digital media skills for older people in the district
District of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. The district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen is one of 19 districts in Bavaria in which appropriate training courses for older people are being funded as part of the Media and Technology in Old Age program, or MuT for short. The funding period for the second phase is currently underway and will run until September 30, 2027.
MuT points are contact points where older people can learn how to use digital technologies safely and confidently in courses or media consultation hours. In the district of Bad Tölz, the funding is passed on to the active MuT points. Such MuT points have so far been the multi-generation house in Bad Tölz, the municipality of Wackersberg, Zammlebn in Benediktbeuern, the Catholic district education center in Beuerberg and Miteinander-Füreinander in Dietramszell. In 2024, MuT points were already funded in Icking and Sachsenkam.
Interested institutions can set up new MuT points and apply for funding. It includes a 10 percent personal contribution and support of 19.80 euros per training unit.
Further information on the MuT program and how to apply can be obtained from the Bad Tölz District Office by calling 08041 505-280 or sending an e-mail to senioren@lra-toelz.de. Detailed information is also available on the website of the Bavarian Ministry of Social Affairs under Media and Technology in Old Age | Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labor and Social Affairs.
