Local officials exchange views

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen/Lenggries District. District Administrator Ludwig Schmid extended an invitation to a get-together in the festival tent during Lenggries Festival Week. Around 150 district, city, and municipal council members, as well as mayors, accepted the invitation on Tuesday, August 11. “When people know one another, they talk to one another. And when people talk to one another, better solutions to challenges can be found,” Schmid is convinced.

Schmid had already announced a get-together to allow everyone to get to know one another at the start of his first term as district administrator. The Lenggries Festival Week provided the perfect setting for this. In a relaxed atmosphere, local elected officials from across the district engaged in conversation, shared experiences, and discussed current issues in their communities.

The district administrator also made the most of the opportunity: He went from table to table, striking up conversations and getting to know the local volunteers and their concerns personally. “It’s important to me to stay close to the communities and the people who are active there. Such personal encounters build trust and make it easier to find good solutions together, even when interests differ,” said Schmid.
