Open Monument Day 2025

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the Open Monument Day will once again take place in Bavaria. The district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen will once again be taking part this year. A total of 9 monuments can be visited on this day in the district.

Bad Tölz

Thomas Mann Villa, country house of the poet and Nobel Prize winner Thomas Mann, architect Sigmund Egenberger, dated 1909, meeting point Heißstr. 31

Eurasburg

Beuerberg Monastery, former Augustinian canons' monastery, reopened after sensitive general renovation, meeting point monastery gate,

Jachenau

Staffelalm on the Rabenkopf, frescoes by Franz Marc, ascent approx. 3 hours from Jachenau, Pessenbach or Kochel am See, with refreshments, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Kochel am See

Schusterhäusl, Bahnhofstr. 12, former small farmer's house with block construction upper floor, 2nd half of 18th century, renovation for public use, 11 am - 4:30 pm, public parking spaces opposite or at the train station,

Walchensee power station, Kochel Altjoch 21, 9 am - 5 pm, information center and machine hall open all day, all-day rides on the funicular to the moated castle
