District Administrator
Josef Niedermaier has held the office of district administrator since 2008.
Before that, he was the first mayor of the town of Bad Tölz.

County council
The district council deals with all matters relating to the district. For example, the members decide on construction measures at the schools for which the district is responsible, the budget or local public transport measures.
The district council has 61 members, the district councillors. They were elected at the last local elections in 2020. Their term of office ends after six years. The chairman of the district council is the district administrator. He also chairs the meetings.

The district council decides on the budget of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district.

The meetings of the district council and its various committees can be easily tracked via the citizen information system: Agendas with the respective meeting documents can be called up, as can the individual minutes, even retrospectively.
