Education region
The district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen has held the "Education Region in Bavaria" seal since 2014. This is in recognition of its commitment to the younger generation. The region is characterized by childcare in daycare facilities, schools and extracurricular educational offers as well as the social space orientation in the Office for Youth and Family. The Benediktbeuern site of the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Munich and the Transfer and Innovation Center in the Oberland (TIZIO), where the scientific staff of the Munich University of Applied Sciences conduct research together with companies and other stakeholders in the Oberland region, make the district attractive for science.
