Brief description
In cooperation with other health authorities, public health departments monitor hospitals and similar medical facilities to ensure they meet hygiene standards.
Description
In particular, hospitals, preventive care and rehabilitation facilities, outpatient surgery centers, dialysis centers, day clinics, and maternity facilities are subject to infection control monitoring by the Public Health Service (ÖGD) and its health authorities. This monitoring is generally carried out by the responsible public health department with technical input from the respective district government and the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety.
