Fire department; information on the tasks of the districts

The administrative districts must procure and maintain the vehicles, equipment and facilities required for the deployment of municipal fire departments within the limits of their capacity or grant subsidies for this purpose. They can also provide training and further training for firefighters and pay compensation to instructors (Art. 2 BayFwG).

The state also promotes fire protection and the technical assistance service by granting earmarked grants to municipalities and districts and maintaining the state fire department schools.
