Radio equipment for public safety authorities and organizations (BOS) is subject to approval. The district administrative authorities are the application bodies for mobile and fixed radio equipment for fire departments and civil protection.Description
BOS radio is a non-public land mobile radio service (nömL) in Germany that is used by authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS). It comprises the radio equipment and radio networks of the non-public mobile land radio service (nömL).
The district administrative authorities record the mobile radio systems of the municipal fire departments and plant fire departments, process the BOS applications (e.g. applications for fixed radio stations) and forward them to the responsible government.
The district administrative authorities also record the mobile radio systems used for disaster control and forward them to the higher disaster control authority (government).
