Gender equality officers promote and monitor the implementation of the Gender Equality Act and the Gender Equality Concept and support its implementation. With their own initiatives, they work towards improving the situation of women and the compatibility of family and employment for women and men. They are involved in matters within the business area that may be of fundamental importance for the equality of women and men, the compatibility of family and employment and the safeguarding of equal opportunities. The duties of the Equal Opportunities Officers also include advising on gender equality issues and supporting employees in individual cases.
